This policy explains how the Tacke platform collects, uses and protects your personal data, in line with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its Implementing Regulations.
Last updated: 24 October 2026
1. Who we are
Tacke (tackecoffee.com) is operated by Tacke Coffee (تاكي كوفي), based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is the controller of your personal data. For any privacy matter contact info@tackecoffee.com.
2. Data we collect
- When you create an account: name, username, email address and password (stored encrypted).
- When you sign in with Google: the name, email address and profile picture Google allows us to receive. We never see your Google password.
- What you post: photos, posts, comments, private messages, group memberships and coupons you save.
- Partner form: business name and type, city, contact name, email, phone, social links and message.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and login logs, to protect the platform from fraud and attacks.
3. Why we collect it (purpose and legal basis)
- To run your account and provide the platform’s services (performing our agreement with you).
- To show what you choose to share to members or the public, according to your privacy settings.
- To send activation emails and notifications about your account.
- To answer partner requests and send them offers (with your consent when you submit the form).
- To protect the platform and its members from abuse and to meet legal obligations (legitimate interest and legal obligation).
Email and username are required to create an account; without them we cannot provide the service. Everything else is optional. We will not use your data for any purpose incompatible with the one it was collected for.
4. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger): to host the site and data and to send email.
- Google: when you choose Google sign-in, and when the site’s fonts load from Google Fonts (your IP address is sent to Google’s servers).
- Partner cafés and roasters: only aggregated statistics that do not identify you, unless you explicitly agree to share your data with a specific partner.
- Authorities: when we receive a binding legal request.
5. Transfers outside the Kingdom
Data may be stored or processed on our service providers’ servers outside Saudi Arabia. When that happens we limit the transfer to the minimum necessary and rely on the safeguards set out in the Regulation on Personal Data Transfer outside the Kingdom.
6. Cookies
We use only essential cookies, for login, keeping your session and remembering your language. We currently use no advertising cookies or third-party trackers, and we will update this policy before adding any.
7. Retention and destruction
- Account data and content: for as long as your account exists. When you delete it, we destroy the data or de-identify it within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
- Partner form requests: up to 24 months from the last contact.
- Technical logs: a limited period, for security only.
Destruction means secure deletion from our databases, and from backups as they rotate.
8. Your rights
Under the law you have the right to:
- Be informed of how and why your data is collected.
- Access your data and receive a copy in a clear format.
- Correct, update or complete your data.
- Request destruction of your data once it is no longer needed.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before.
You can edit most of your data under My account → Settings, or email us at info@tackecoffee.com. We reply within 30 days. You may also file a complaint with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA).
9. Security
We use an encrypted connection (HTTPS), hashed passwords, protection against repeated login attempts and restricted access rights. If a breach affects your data, we notify the competent authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of it and notify you without delay if it may harm you.
10. Minors
The platform is for people aged 18 and over. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we delete it.
11. Tacke Studio, camera and photos
- When you open the camera in Tacke Studio, processing and filters run on your device only. No photo or audio is sent to our servers unless you tap “Post to my page”.
- When you post, we store the file, caption and the visibility you choose (Everyone, Members, Friends, Only me). You can delete it at any time.
- We do not use facial recognition, sell your photos, or use them to train AI systems.
12. Privacy settings and account control
- You choose who sees your account: everyone, members, friends or only you, and you can lock it temporarily until a date you set. Each photo and video has its own visibility setting.
- You can delete your account yourself from account settings and request a copy of your data by email.
- Platform moderators may view content when needed to review reports or comply with the law.
13. External services and links
- Sign in with Google: we receive only your name, email and profile picture, with your consent.
- Email: account emails (activation and notifications) are sent through our hosting provider, Hostinger.
- News panel and library: we show headlines and links to external sites (UN News, Daily Coffee News, Sprudge, Perfect Daily Grind, Hindawi Foundation, Project Gutenberg). Headlines are fetched by our server, so those sites receive no data about you unless you click through, after which their policies apply.
- Visit statistics and fonts: we use Koko Analytics, installed on our own server, to count visits and popular pages in aggregate, with no cookies and no device fingerprinting; its data is not sent to any third party. The site’s fonts are also hosted on our server, not loaded from outside services.
- We store simple preferences in your browser (such as closing the news panel) and use no third-party advertising or marketing trackers.
- Internal statistics (member and post counts) are computed from our own database and shared with no one.
14. Changes
We may update this policy. We will publish the new version here with its date and notify members of significant changes.
